Join us in the challenge of meeting the future environmental requirements on ICE engines

Scania stands before a great challenge in developing combustion engines that meet new tough legal demands worldwide. If you strive to make a contribution to the environment and drive real change, then developing the combustion engine to reduce emissions will make a difference here and now; not in 5-10 years. The combustion engine is here now, and will be around for many years to come in the heavy industry.

Developing a real combustion engine is complex, exciting, and a bit unpredictable. It's also challenging to get all components in the engine and after-treatment to work in harmony and to optimize its performance. This means working with complex physics and advanced balancing between properties. Every workday will be unique, exciting and evolving.

Scania is therefore really investing in our future and that´s where you come in, join us and drive the shift!

Life at our department

Working as an engineer within a organization that strives to increase the efficiency, not only regarding the end product but also focusing on the product development process, is extremely rewarding. As the hardware and the software complexity increases with future emission legislation the challenge continues.
Mikael, Assistant Chief Engineer
It is an exciting experience working close with engines, both as a physical object and through its complex calibrations and functions. I have gained a deep understanding of how smallest change in a detail may influence several departments and, in the end, make a huge difference for the customer. This insight together with a network of supportive and talented colleges, will be a great base of knowledge as I now entering my new role as manager within the system control department.
